Tandoori Chicken Recipe

"Tandoori chicken is a popular North Indian dish consisting of roasted chicken prepared with yogurt and spices. Indian Home-Style Tandoori Chicken Recipe

Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:

6 pieces Thawed chicken, skinned (whatever portions you like)
2 tsp Ground Coriander
2 tsp Masala (Tandoori paste is available)
to taste Red pepper powder
Dash Garlic powder
to taste Salt
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp ginger
1 cup yogurt
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp oil

Directions:

  • In a large bowl, combine yoghurt, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, oil, spices and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • Cut 2 slits in top of each chicken thigh, making sure not to cut all the way through. Add chicken to yoghurt mixture and turn to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium high heat, and lightly oil grate. Cook chicken on grill until no longer pink and juices run clear. Garnish with cilantro and lemon wedges.
