Chocolate Easter Eggs are milk chocolate fudge stuffed within a chocolate ganache outer layer. I was literally clueless on what to stuff, though the idea to make eggs was there. I then realized that when I slice through, the egg white should be seen. So decided to use the milk chocolate I have and the milk powder that seems to never get over.
I melted and mixed the both and while I was rolling out as eggs, I gave it to my boys to taste. Since they are so particular about their chocolate being brown, I had to cajole them. Little did I know that I landed on Kinder joy recipe. Both jumped up saying that’s how the Kinderjoy white sauce tastes. They wanted to have it as such. I told them that I will encase it in the chocolate base and give them. They were so excited saying that they love it. Of course, I know how much they love that treat. To imagine that it’s all a mix of white chocolate and milk powder!
Anyway, I used the Chocolate Orange Ganache for the outer layer. Unfortunately, the inner white part got little hard and it wasn’t an easy part to slice through. They had to keep it for it to melt before eating it. That was after I clicked the pictures, so will have to improve the recipe to ensure the inner part is soft and set.
Until then you enjoy just as my kids enjoyed the Kinderjoy replica.
